3 brandslaunched in parallel to compare traffic quality
The client is an online casino operating three brands.
Goal: acquire players through Telegram Ads. At launch, a first deposit cost ~$120 with a registration-to-deposit conversion of just 2.4%.
What went wrong and how we fixed it
1. Expensive first deposit at launch
- Problem
- FTD cost ~$120, registration-to-deposit conversion was 2.4%. Cheap registrations didn't mean good traffic quality.
- Solution
- We ran traffic to all three brands at once and compared quality by deposit conversion, not registration cost. As data accumulated, we cut weak segments and shifted budget toward those with a high Reg2Dep.
$120 → $75 per FTDReg2Dep 2.4% → 5.8%
2. Delayed conversions
- Problem
- Some deposits came in late — after one data cut, another 20 FTDs trickled in. Optimizing on real-time data would have killed working campaigns too early.
- Solution
- We gave campaigns time to reach final stats and didn't rush to shut them down. Decisions were based on complete data, not early deposits.

3. Different Reg2Dep across brands
- Problem
- Three brands showed different deposit conversion — cheap registrations didn't equal good quality.
- Solution
- We tracked stats per brand separately. Brand #3 had fewer registrations (407) but a Reg2Dep of 8.8%: nearly every 11th sign-up made a deposit. We shifted budget in its favor.
