The client is a VPN service selling through a Telegram bot with a free one-day trial.
Goal: scale sales keeping CAC under $6.
What went wrong and how we fixed it
1. Results vary wildly across targets
- Problem
- There are dozens of competitor VPN bots, but not all of them deliver cheap signups — CTR and conversion rates jump by multiples.
- Solution
- We launched a separate campaign for each competitor bot with a unique tracking parameter. Auto-rules shut down expensive campaigns without manual intervention.
CTR from 5.7% to 27%auto-disable expensive ones
2. Scaling the best targets
- Problem
- Cheap bots have a limited audience — at a fixed bid, impressions run out.
- Solution
- We plugged in a CPM bidder that automatically raised the bid to buy as many impressions as possible on the best-performing bots.

3. Keeping CAC in check as budget grows
- Problem
- At $12,000 spend, CAC could easily blow past $6.
- Solution
- Every day we matched bot stats against each campaign's spend: shut down the expensive ones, scaled the cheap ones with fresh creatives.
CAC $5.04vs $6 target
- 2,454 actions — best campaign
- 27.03% CTR — best result
- €0.12 — cheapest click
